CIRCLE CleanTech Cluster e.V. ...

… is the new interdisciplinary and cross-technology CleanTech Cluster based in Erfurt. The CIRCLE Cluster was formed as a result of an amendment to the rules of the Thuringian Renewable Energy Network (ThEEN) and now connects companies, research institutions, associations, policymakers, and other stakeholders in the fields of water, energy, and material resources.

Many future-oriented topics can no longer be addressed in isolation within individual industries. Solutions are increasingly emerging at the intersections of water, energy, resources, digitalization, and the circular economy. The new cluster creates a network and a platform for excellent collaboration between the technologies.

In addition to the existing focus areas of renewable energy, energy storage, energy efficiency, and heating technologies, topics such as circular economy, water, hydrogen, and carbon technologies, as well as technologies for the circular bioeconomy, digitalization, AI, cyber resilience, and data sovereignty, will be more closely integrated.

The goal is to facilitate new collaborations, innovation projects, and value chains in an integrated and cross-technological manner.
